The Faculty of Animal Husbandry of Unikama is a higher education institution that is active in preparing competent human resources in the field of animal husbandry. The prepared human resources are practitioners, educators, researchers, and policy makers who devote their attention to the livestock sector.
The Faculty of Animal Husbandry is supported by facilities and infrastructure including representative classrooms, LCD projectors in each class, field laboratories with an Integrated Farming system (Close House broilers with a capacity of 10,000), catfish ponds, breeding of cattle, sheep and goats, as well as a forage field, animal feed and organic fruits, integrated laboratory, entrepreneurial laboratory, computer laboratory and language laboratory. Faculty of Animal Husbandry has one study program and is accredited by BAN-PT and has active and competent teaching staff with Master and Doctoral qualifications.
1. Animal Husbandry Study Program – S1
The Animal Husbandry Study Program aims at generating graduates who are competent and have an entrepreneurial spirit in the livestock sector through the provision of quality education and learning.
Strengths:
- The ability to become reliable young entrepreneurs who are equipped with competent skills in the livestock sector.
- The ability to inseminate cattle, formulate animal feed and supervise farms.
- The ability to conduct research in the livestock sector.
Job Opportunities:
Graduates of the study program can work as entrepreneurs in the livestock sector, inseminators, feed formulators, extension workers, teaching staff and farm supervisors, consultants in the livestock sector, and researchers in the livestock sector.
