The digital revolution presents new challenges and opportunities. The development and application of this technology has penetrated almost all fields. Information technology has become the backbone of modern civilization. This phenomenon triggers a large demand for experts in the field of information technology. Unikama has benefited from this technological development. Through the existence of the Faculty of Science and Technology, an ICT-based academic system has been developed to serve the need for information and data quickly and accurately.

Faculty of Science and Technology  is supported by facilities and infrastructure such as representative classrooms, LCD projectors in each class, Multimedia and Game Technology Laboratory, Robotics and Microcontroller Laboratory, Networking and Hardware Laboratory, Server Application and Operating System (Research) Laboratory, Basic Physics Laboratory, Physics Laboratory Advanced (Electronics, Modern Physics, Magnetic Electricity and Modeling Simulation), Internet Laboratory, Chemistry Laboratory, Basic Biology Laboratory, and Computer and Application Laboratory. Faculty of Science and Technology has five study programs, each of which is accredited by BAN-PT and has active and competent teaching staff with Master and Doctoral qualifications.

The Informatics Engineering Study Program aims at generating graduates who are able to absorb, apply, and develop informatics engineering with the main competence of intelligent systems.

    1. The ability to create integrative solutions by utilizing software.
    1. The ability to plan and evaluate the application of informatics techniques in an organization.
    1. The ability to design and maintain databases including data warehouses for an agency or company.
    1. The ability to test software and hardware functions.
    1. The ability to develop, design, and build and maintain robotics, game animation with various services and facilities.

Job Opportunities:

Graduates of study program can work as capacity planning supervisors, database administrators, customer service supervisors, data communication assistant managers, data entry supervisors, information center managers, hardware installation supervisors, system administrators, webmasters, project manager applications, project manager distributed systems, project network technical service, project manager implementation development, and related to the design, construction, operation, structural disposition, manufacture, and application of game robotics and animation related to the science of electronics, microcontroller, 3D animation and software.

  • Information Systems Study Program – Undergraduate

The Information Systems Study Program aims at generating graduates who have the mastery of the information technology and business processes presented in a curriculum that combines advanced information technology used in both public and private organizations. Graduates know how information technology can contribute to an organization and how to make the information technology and business processes a reality. The main strength of the study program lies in its the ability to apply knowledge of information systems and technology to help organizations compete more successfully.

Strengths:

  1. The ability to develop web-based information system designs.
    1. The ability to develop multimedia-based information system designs.
    1. The ability to develop a mobile technology information system design or data warehouse and e-Business.

Job Opportunities:

Graduates of study program can work in the field of information systems including software engineering, e-Government, Information System Audit, Smart Systems, Smart City, web technology, decision support systems, Mobile Technology, e-Learning, Interactive Multimedia, Systems Geographic Information, e-Commerce.

The Mathematics Education Study Program aims at generating qualified, professional, and respectful mathematics education graduates and implements multicultural principles in learning process and a curriculum that is always adapted to the latest developments.

Strengths:

  1. The mastery of various mathematics materials.
    1. The ability of strong analytical and reasoning abilities.
    1. The ability to process and interpret various data in the field of statistics.
    1. The ability to use various Mathematical software.
    1. The ability to produce innovative and useful works in the field of mathematics.

The Physics Education Study Program aims at generating high-quality and professional Physics education graduates who are well versed in computer and laboratory-based Physics learning.

    1. The ability to have basic skills in programming, animation, web technology and mobile technology related to physics education.
    1. The ability to have management skills and laboratory work skills.
    1. The ability to have physics entrepreneurial skills.

The Natural Science Education Study Program aims at generating natural science education teachers who are able to find and develop new innovations in environment-based science learning.

Strengths:

  1. The ability to develop ICT-based learning (Computer Programming, Biochemistry, and Science Technology and Society).
    1. The ability to develop environmentally sound learning.
    1. The ability to develop learning models with various approaches such as Scientific Approach, Student Center Approach, and Technology-based Learning.
    1. The ability to have management skills and laboratory work skills.

Graduates of study program can work as teaching staff in schools, mentors, tutors, ICT-based and environmentally friendly learning developers, and laboratory managers.
