UNIKAMA – The importance of entrepreneurship in the era of advanced technology wants every alma mater to be a generation that is superior and has high competitiveness to face the future. For this reason, the Faculty of Animal Husbandry (Fapet) Universitas Kanjuruhan Malang (Unikama) holds a general lecture for students. The activity which took the title “Strategies for Passing PHBD of Kemenristekdikti and Printing Young Entrepreneurs & Success,” presented by reliable presenters Dr. I Wayan Karyasa, S.Pd., M.Sc. from the Universitas Ganesha.
Faculty of Animal Husbandry continues to encourage its graduates to become entrepreneurs. This is because indeed the natural potential in the area of origin of the students who on average originated from eastern Indonesia is very profitable. This was revealed by the dean of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Dr. Ir. Enike Dwi Kusumawati, S.Pt., M.P., HDI.
“There is a huge potential, for example for cattle, pigs, and many others. Because they mostly come from NTB, NTT, Flores, eastern Indonesia, “he said.
The students themselves have indeed begun to follow the trend of becoming entrepreneurs in the field of animal husbandry. In addition, according to the dean, the campus itself has greatly facilitated entrepreneurial trends in this field of animal husbandry.
“In the future we will also be made like that business center, because we also have processed products from livestock that we develop. Like ice cream from 100 percent cow’s milk, yogurt, “he said.
In addition to the knowledge of livestock, students must also know how to develop a business in the field of animal husbandry. They also need to know which areas are suitable to be used as farms.
“I hope that Unikama students, especially the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, master the science of entrepreneurship. Not only mastery of the material but they must be able to practice in everyday life. What we know is that the farm not only knows how to care for animals, but also can conduct research on livestock. “How to breed or make new innovations,” said Aju Tjatur Nugroho Krisnaningsih, S.Pt., MP, as Chair of the Animal Husbandry Study Program.
